The wedding is intimate and showy. The vows in particular. A swirl of light appears around Viktor and Sirius's hands. Glowing brighter with every word. At the kiss, actual glitter rains over the gathering. Creating the closest thing to "The most magical day of your life."

Because of course it isn't magic. Only special effects. Obviously.

There's laughing, photos, at least one quick-change on Viktor's end, then - the party!

As the grooms wait for their entrance, Viktor tucks an arm into Sirius's. "How do I look?" he stage-whispers. Deliberately swishing his robes, a gorgeous confection of feathers. Starting with black and exploding out in gold at the bottom. One of Madame P's pieces.

There's only a few seconds before the announcement booms.

"Predstavlyayem gospodina i gospodina Nikiforovykh.
Introducing Mr. and Mr. Nikiforov!"

There's... a lot to take in, after Kreacher's flight. Confusion, turmoil, darker looks on Sirius's face then Viktor's ever seen. But since the leak has been revealed, the trip home is less complicated. Back to Russia. With its own secrets and dark pockets, but wilder and further from Voldemort's grasp. For now.

The sooner Viktor can get to Japan, the better.

Every day feels like a held breath. Longer and longer. Viktor hands are constantly dipping into pockets. Hoping for a buzzing warmth - from his phone or Firebird medal. Sirius can only snatch a few words here and there. Yuuri doesn't call at all. The waiting is awful. A constant itch under the skin. Distracting from practices, pulling his mind away from the work. Even Yakov's scolding can't make a dent.

So on a fateful night when a certain set of triplets upload a certain video? Viktor and Makkachin are on the first plane to Tokyo. Leaving the entire world agog. The rumors fly fast and furious, and Viktor lets them. Happily spamming Instagram with pictures of katsudon as he crashes directly into the Katsukis' lives. Throwing himself into the blaze of doing something. Finally.

At the end of a session with Yuuri AND Yurio (and who would have expected THAT) Viktor's packing his skates up. His fingers brush against the medal - Which is radiating warmth, despite the rink's chill.

Sirius.

Waving quickly to his students, Viktor bolts outside. Face bright with excitement. "Konnichiwa, Chernka!"

This is the last breath before the full Grand Prix madness descends. After two golds, Viktor's... "nervous" isn't the right word. However, everything's jangling. One top spot means you're a contender. The second gold means everyone wants to catch you. No one's won three since Plushenko. And no one's won three in a row.

So he's taking his time today with the jumps. Going easy, paying attention to where his body leads. He comes out of the spin. Arms and legs held long, face tilted up to the ceiling. Expression contemplative. Even in just the warm-ups, he's captivating. Drawing every eye in the rink.

Then he turns, hands on hips. Breaking the spell.

"How was that, Makkachin?"

Since Yakov has to divide his attention between three skaters, Makkachin is substitute coach! It is a Very Important job. And no one's said Viktor can't have a dog in this rink... maybe because he feigns a sudden forgetfulness of English when they try.

Unfortunately, Viktor couldn't get home for Yuri's birthday. The charity tour in Paris was booked months ago. Well before certain... other things came to light. There was no way out of it. Nothing to do but smile and smile, bury everything else that might be wanted.

He'd called. Of course. But there was only so much that could be said, in the bustle of airports, photoshoots, hotels. Even if Yuri claimed it was fine, didn't care, Viktor knew it would hurt. Because it's Yuri. Though he understands career demands - he's still a kid. And birthdays matter.

Well, time to make up for it! The first day Viktor returns, he puts his master plan into action. A small package waits in Yuri's bag after practice. Gaudy and gold (of course it is) wrapped around an apartment key. And a note.

Happy Birthday, Kitten! <3

Under that is an address. He's a smart boy. Viktor trusts he can figure out the next bit...

"Have you ever had a third in bed?"

"Were you thinking of someone?"

"Why not Yurio? Poor kid, he wants to jump us both..."

It had been a joke. Or, half of one. Except that Yuuri's reaction was... unexpected. He'd gaped, insisted there was no way that Yurio would be interested in anything like that. Maybe with Viktor - but not him. And the more Viktor insisted on the crush (after all, he is the expert in crushing on Yuuri Katsuki!), the more denial came.

The next couple of weeks are for observation. Just to be sure, and there's no mistaking it. Yurio gravitates to Yuuri and Viktor. More then to Yakov, more then his other rinkmates. Like a magnet. Even as he spits and swears, foul-mouthed as ever. The want is clear. Also clear is that Yurio doesn't know what to do with it.

And there's a solution to solve all of that!

So the next step is inviting Yurio home! God knows how Viktor's convinced him, but he's guiding the younger skater into their apartment. Singing out cheerfully as he kicks snow from his boots.

"Yuuri~! I found a stray kitten! I know you like dogs best, but can't we keep him?"

It is ridiculous. Going to rile both Yurio and Yuuri, if he's done this right.

Viktor is betting on it.

Viktor was surprised to get that sort of text from Yuuri. Shocked, to be accurate. He needed to double-check Chris hadn't sent it.

All I want is dick and wine.

Usually Yuuri kept his frustration bottled up, to pour out on the ice. Having him actually ask for things like that? Even framed as a joke? Viktor pounced immediately. Made excuses for their dinner plans, picked up a few... essentials.

Now he's nudging open the door. Arms laden with several bags and boxes.

"Yuuri?"

Season of cold making warmth (For phichitchu and emberossing)

Viktor's grown up with the cold. Between St. Petersberg and ice skating, it doesn't register any more. But this winter is incredible. Walking outside is like a knife in your throat. Breath freezes instantly on scarves. Makkachin needs little snow boots. (Which is adorable but also proof of just how ridiculous conditions are.)

So, of course, this was the perfect time to have invited a guest from a tropical country. At least Phichit's flight got in safely. Now to warm everyone up!

Viktor bustles into the living room, carrying a mountain of comforters and trying to shake the icicles from his hair. "Here, more blankets!" he declares. Throwing one over whoever's closest, Yuuri or Phichit.
